Description: A reflection on the possession of another's intimacy, virginity and sexuality, focusing on those generations of men who have abused it for centuries. Aesthetic interest aside, the African trade beads perfectly symbolize my reflection. These shimmering glass objects conceal their history as a currency of exchange during the colonial period. The bead is to be viewed as a dowry in exchange for a virgin bride.
